There are movie fans, and then there are Star Wars fans.
Two Australian super fans of the film franchise, truck driver Caroline Ritter, 34 and firefighter Andrew Porters, 29, wedded on the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theater IMAX in Hollywood where the movie's star-studded premiere took place on Thursday.
The couple had waited in line for 12 days to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens. They wedded surrounded by friends and family dressed in full costume.
Ms Ritter's gown featured handmade crystal x-wing starfighters embellishments, and she carried a Lightsaber with her bouquet.
The bridesmaids wore skirts printed with Lightsabers, while an assortment of Jedi, Darth Vader, R2-D2 and Chewbacca all bearing witness to the nuptials.
The couple revealed that the unique wedding concept wasn't actually their idea.

'It was the theater's idea,' Ms Ritter told Mashable. 'They asked if anyone was interested in getting married here on the premiere date.'Ms Ritter, a Star Wars fan since childhood, has been flying to Los Angeles to queue for the film's opening for over a decade.
