I thank you dearies for the wonderful conversation we had yesterday. Here's what I got from your feedback.

  • INTEREST:
Everybody thinks it's a great idea and that we can do it. This is perfect.
  • WHO & WHO WILL BE GOING ON THE DATES:
Initially, what I had in mind was a male TILB reader with a female TILB reader, obviously they need to be single so that we don't put anybody's marriage at risk *winks*. But after reading your comments, here are the modifications:
  • A main reader will get nominated and he or she chooses who he or she goes on the date with.
  • That means the meet dates can be between a male/female or male/male or female/female. Or do we include group dates - involving more than two readers that stay in the same location?
  • Married readers are involved too. When you get nominated, you can pick someone of the same sex you want to go on the date with or you can also get picked.
  • HOW WILL THE DATES BE RUN:
Our very first couple to go on a date will get N20,000 spending allowance. Each of you will be credited with N10k each.

You two will hook up and arrange a date at a public place like a restaurant with fancy meals and drinks. That will followed with an after meal fun treat that could be: going to watch a movie together, go play or watch a live game, visit a fun park, anything, something interesting to go do together.

You will send us pictures right from the second you start dressing at home. Clean photos along with comments about what's going on in your mind and what's happening in each pic.

Have it at the back of your mind that readers will finish you with yabs if you fcuk up. lol.

And then, your honest conclusion about the date and the person you finally met one on one after you two have parted and gone back to your various homes.
  • WHO CAN GET NOMINATED FOR THE DATES?
The dates apply to every TILB reader that has an identity and is willing to participate. Cos we need to know you and for you to also be nominated.
  • WHEN WILL OUR FIRST TILB COUPLE GO ON THEIR DATE?
As soon as we conclude this thinking process and pick our couple. The money is already ready. I can't wait to do this, guys. I'm so excited to see our first couple.

  • HOW OFTEN WILL THE TILB DATES HOLD?

For now, I'm thinking every two months. Or what do you think?
  • HOW DO WE NOMINATE WHICH TILB READER GOES ON THE DATE FOR THE MONTH?
TILB reader Tess made a suggestion which I bought. But we still need more ideas on how to fine tune it. She said:
People should vote. Whoever has the highest vote gets to pick his/her date. If the person with the highest vote doesn't want to take part, the next person gets to go.
So I'm thinking, should we pick who goes on the date like this:
To vote, readers will be asked, who do you want to see go on a date this month? And then the nomination starts. Readers will nominate three persons each which can include themselves and any other two people they will want to see go on the date.
Whoever gets the highest number of votes wins.
And to protect identities from 'I thought you were my friend, why didn't you pick me?'', votes will be done using Anonymous mode and not real names.
Is this ok? Please I need your suggestions.  Which other thing did I miss out?

Two weeks after a 14-year-old girl, identified only as Rosemary, was rescued from the apartment of her alleged lover, 40-year-old Chukwu Nkenna, the teenager has gone missing again in the Agege area of Lagos.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Rosemary, who hails from Jos, Plateau State, had been taken away from Nkenna’s apartment at Obelle Junction, Surulere, on Monday, September 8, by officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

Rosemary, who reportedly came to Lagos State in January 2014, had been in the care of a non-governmental organisation interested in girl education, before she left in December 2014, due to
financial challenges.

The teenager was said to have met Nkenna, more commonly known as Kema, in the Surulere area around January 2015. She was reportedly staying in Nkenna’s house, who hails from Delta State.

PUNCH Metro learnt that in July, neighbours reported to the police in Surulere that Rosemary was being sexually abused and was suspected to be pregnant.

It was gathered that the Surulere Police Division on Friday, August 21, arrested Nkenna, for allegedly raping the teenager.

The matter was said to have been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, on Monday, August 24.

The police at SDCI were said to have later released Nkenna, while the victim was asked to seek medical attention.

Our correspondent gathered that Rosemary thereafter went back to Nkenna to continue to stay with him.

The matter was said to have also been brought to the attention of MWAPA, which sent its officials to take the girl from the suspect’s house on September 8.

It was learnt that Rosemary was billed to go to a government rehabilitation centre, but she opted to stay in the Agege area with her uncle.

Our correspondent learnt that on Sunday, October 13, Rosemary reportedly sneaked out of her uncle’s apartment in Agege, and had since not been found.

When our correspondent visited Nkenna’s apartment in Surulere on the trail of the teenager, she was not found. Nkenna was also said to have travelled out of Lagos State, and was unavailable for comment.

Speaking with PUNCH Metro, Rosemary’s uncle, who identified himself simply as Benjamin, said, “When Nkenna was initially arrested by the police and taken to SDCI, the police failed to follow up the matter. They released him, and said we should allow the girl to marry the man since they were both lovers.

“I was not happy with the way they treated that case. When they asked the two of them to go home, she returned to Nkenna’s house until she was taken from the apartment by government officials.

“Days later, she fled, and since that time, we have been looking for her. She called one of my brothers two days ago, but she did not tell us where she was staying. We asumed that she is with the suspect. We do not have Nkenna’s number. So, we cannot reach him.

“We want the state government to arrest Nkenna and bring our daughter back. There was a time that Nkenna called the family with Rosemary’s number, and we asked him to show up, but he refused. We are still looking for her.”

When our correspondent got to MWAPA in Alausa, an official, who confirmed that the ministry was handling the case, said the director of the Child Protection Unit was unavailable for comment.

“The case was reported to the unit by an NGO, and we are working on it. The director is not around to talk on it,” she added.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joe Offor, said investigation was ongoing on the matter.

He said, “We have the case at the SDCI, and what we are investigating is alleged rape. The police do not get involved in cases of relationships and marriages. If the girl is a minor, the police know she cannot give a valid consent.

“The family of the girl should find out where their daughter is, and let the police know so we can assist in recovering her. If the suspect is given an administrative bail, he will come back on the day he is asked to report. If he does not show up, then we know what to do.”

Thirty-five-year-old Nelson, who stabbed his father, Sunday Oamen, to death, in Abesan Estate, in the Ipaja area of Lagos State, has said he did it because his father always scolded him.

Oamen, who is currently being detained at the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, told PUNCH Metro on Wednesday that he had smoked four wraps of Indian hemp before committing the crime.
He faulted his parents for not giving him enough training, adding that he hated them for always talking down on him.

Our correspondent had reported last week Monday that Nelson, a suspected drug addict, stabbed his 75-year-old father to death on Friday, September 23.

It was reported that the deceased, a retired worker in a company in the Apapa area of the state, was battling with stroke and always stayed indoors at the time of the incident.

Nelson was reported to have sneaked into the house and stabbed his father to death with a broken bottle.

He was said to have covered his corpse with a blanket and fled the house.

Residents told our correspondent that the suspect, who always fomented trouble in the community, escaped with the heart of his father.

On Wednesday, our correspondent reported that the suspect voluntarily turned himself in to the police.

During a chat with PUNCH Metro, Nelson said he surrendered himself to the police because he lost his peace after killing his father.

The Edo State indigene said he had always fought with his father before things went awry on the fateful day.

He said, “I am the fourth child in a family of eight children. I have had several fights with my dad in the past. There was a time I confronted him that I had been going through a lot of challenges in life and I needed help, but he said I should sit at home and he would be feeding me. I was angry because he wanted me to be dependent on him and I needed to fend for myself.

“My parents knew that I smoke hemp and it sometimes affected my behaviour. They asked me to quit it, and I did for some time. People advised them to take me for medical care, but they said they did not have the money.

“I became addicted to hemp about six months ago. On Thursday night, a day preceding the incident, I had gone to a joint where I smoked four wraps of hemp. I bought each for N50.

“On Friday, around 11am, I was sitting outside the house when I started feeling restless and a spirit told me to go inside and kill my father. I went in through the window and when I got to where he was lying, I stabbed him in the neck and chest.”

He said after committing the act, he ran away because he was overcome with guilt.

Nelson, who dropped out of primary school, denied removing his father’s heart, adding that after killing his father, his eyes became opened.

“The spirit that pushed me to kill my father began to tell me that I will not have rest until I report myself to the police. When I could no longer bear it, I decided to report to the police.

“It is not my fault. Whenever I talk to my parents, they always scolded me. And sometimes, I felt they were not my parents. I killed my father because he always chastised me and because I lost control of my senses.

“If I get out of this mess, I will surrender my life to Jesus. But if not, I resign myself to fate,” he added.

Our correspondent learnt that the police would soon charge the suspect to court for the offence.

But a police source said the suspect’s family was becoming hesitant in giving their full support to the prosecution.

He said, “Some members of the family want him to face the consequence of his action, but they are also considering the implication on their mother who had become old and might not want to suffer double tragedies.

“However, the police will prosecute him. It is a straightforward murder case.”

Others in the list are former governors, Anambra, Chris Ngige; Abia State, Ogbonaya Onu, Ekiti, Kayode Fayemi; a one time APC governorship flag bearer in Taraba, Aisha Alhassan,
Also said to be on the list are Kayode Fayemi, a former governor of Ekiti State; a former Governor of Anambra State, Chris Ngige; and a one-time Governor of Abia State, Ogbonaya Onu; Amina Mohammed; A former commissioner of Ogun State, Kunle Adeosun; Malami Abubakar (SAN) and the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Ibe Kachikwu.

This MFM Pastor Tunde Tolulope Ajayi and his embattled wife Yemisi Abiose Ajayi have been locked in a battle of wits and punches and she says he beat her to a pulp today at Casso area of Alagbado.

Photos of the battered lady and husband was shared on Facebook by Violence against Women activist Ify Onyegbule, adding that she just got of the phone with Yemisi who said to me that she had taken in all the maltreatment for 17 years they had been married but couldn't take it anymore when one of her 3 children died and the man won't give her peace.

What will drive a man to this extent? As we speak, Yemisi has moved out of her matrimonial home...and is at a loss of what her next line of action should be because according to her "he won't rest but will continue to make trouble with me"

How good does she look in it?

Controversial Nigerian rapper, Vic O is at it again. He first drew our attention in 2012 when he dropped a single, Why Evils, based off of a Don Jazzy beat.

Now he has taken to Twitter to vent his annoyance at not receiving any single nomination in the upcoming Headies Awards.

See the some of the hilarious responses his outburst received:

Nigerians sef. No single sympathy for the hurting guy. Lmao!

I really don't know what the deal is with all these falling trucks.

This government taskforce truck caused a massive traffic all the way from Apongbon, inwards Victoria Island through Outer Marina. The truck fell off near the edge of the third mainland bridge and landed on another government Hilux pickup.

Miraculously, no one died but the driver of the truck sustained some injury. In addition, some other private cars were also affected.

Toke Makinwa's Instagram page is currently on fire as there is an ongoing fight .

Toke Makinwa posted the following video :https://instagram.com/p/8OiauwDnvr of she and her friends having a get together. All of a sudden someone with the instagram name (baby.oku89) made a nasty comment and Toke's page is currently in flames with people cursing each other out.

This is food for thought for those selfie addicts out there.

A schoolboy has fallen to his death after trying to take an 'extreme selfie' on a ninth-floor rooftop with his friend.

The 17-year-old student apparently climbed to the top of a building in Vologda, Russia, with a companion one evening last week with the intention of creating a photo of himself dangling off the towering structure.
Armed with rope and his phone, he approached the edge of the rooftop in the fading light and lowered himself over it.

But seconds later, the rope gave way and he plummeted nine floors, according to local media reports..

Although several bushes below the rooftop cushioned the boy's fall, he suffered extensive and severe injuries.

He was rushed to a hospital in eastern Russia's Vologda Oblast region, where he died around two hours later.

Before his death, the student had apparently become addicted to the thrill of taking 'extreme selfies'.

He often captured such images on his phone before posting them to his Instagram page.

He ignored friends' warnings that he was putting his life at risk by staging the pictures, it is reported.

Mistake #1: Too-tight underwear
Not only is too-tight underwear generally unflattering (hello, visible bulges and puckering), but it can also promote chafing of the skin and vaginal irritation,
especially if you’re post-menopausal. “For women who are menopausal, their vaginal walls tend to be thin,” says Raquel B. Dardik, M.D., clinical associate professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Langone Medical Center.

From that perspective, any underwear that’s tight enough to rub your skin can result in irritation, she explains. “If your skin doesn’t get irritated, then great — tight underwear won’t hurt you. But if you do get irritated because of friction, then it’s not recommended.”

Mistake #2: Shapewear
If your tight undergarment happens to be shapewear, like the popular hip- and tummy-slimming kinds or waist-cinching corsets, you run the risk of health complications beyond your appearance. “If it’s really tight, you could have nerve impingement and decreased circulation,” says Donnica Moore, M.D., a women’s health expert, who speculates that tight girdles and shapers can even produce numbness or tingling in your extremities.

Furthermore, shapewear is notoriously difficult to take off. “Shapewear makes it very difficult to go to the bathroom, so when women wear them, they tend to hold it more than they should,” she says.

Mistake #3: Synthetic fabrics and silk
When it comes to material, experts agree that your personal preference can dictate the fabric—as long as you make sure the crotch is lined with cotton.

“Most of the underwear that’s available is fairly breathable,” says Dr. Dardik. “As long as they have a cotton liner where the vaginal area is, you’ll be fine.” But if you’re looking for optimal underwear conditions, steer clear of synthetic materials, and only wear silk on special occasions. “Silk and synthetic fabrics are not breathable, which increases the risk of moisture being trapped and retained, which can create a yeast or bacterial infection,” says Dr. Moore.

Mistake #4: Thongs
...keep this tip in mind: If you have a propensity to get yeast or bacterial infections, thongs will only make things worse. “Thongs can be a unique transport vehicle for bacteria from the back to the front,” says Dr. Moore, referring to the spread of E. coli from the anus to the vaginal area. “There’s a lot of movement with the thongs, sliding back and forth—it doesn’t stay in place,” she says.

Dr. Dardik agrees: “Thong underwear can be more irritating, because it has more contact with vaginal and vulval area, but that doesn’t mean women can’t wear them — you just have to find right type for you,” she says. Meaning, if you like wearing thongs and they don’t cause you discomfort, then go for it. “Just because women become grandmothers, it doesn’t mean they need to wear big ‘granny’ underwear,” she adds.

Mistake #5: Underwear at night

Most experts are proponents of sleeping in completely the nude — as long as you’re comfortable in your birthday suit. “Though it’s a matter of personal preference, from the perspective of breathing and airing things out, you should sleep without underwear,” says Dr. Moore. For women who are going through menopause, going underwear-less may make even more sense.

“The more you wear, the more you have to take off when you get night sweats,” she says. No one wants to linger in cold, wet panties once a hot flash passes.

Mistake #6: “Going commando” during the day
If breathable underwear is good, is wearing no underwear better? In a word: no.

“No underwear causes a whole host of other problems, particularly because clothing doesn’t tend to have a liner,” says Dr. Dardik. “For one, if you’re wearing pants, the seam sits right in the vulval area and will constantly be rubbing the area,” which can irritate sensitive tissue.

Secondly, the natural moisture produced by the vagina has nowhere to go when you’re not wearing underwear. “If you are wearing dresses or skirts, there’s nothing there to absorb vaginal moisture,” she adds. “Then you can become hot and sweaty down there, which, in itself, can irritate the skin. In theory [no underwear] makes sense, until you think of the details.”

Mistake #7: Sweaty undies
Women and men who tend to sweat should change their underwear regularly — twice a day, as opposed to once a day for people who typically stay dry. And anyone who works out should put on a clean pair of undies as soon as they’re able.

“A warm, moist environment is the perfect place for yeast to grow,” says Dr. Moore, who recommends that sweat-prone people invest in underwear made of moisture-wicking material and avoid cotton underwear, which tends to stay wet once it gets wet. “All of these problems are compounded if you have incontinence to any degree — even a drop or two,” says Dr. Moore.

“When you work out, you can try wearing a panty liner. That way, if you’re not in a position to change underwear, at least you can change the panty liner or take it off.”

Mistake #8: Non-hypoallergenic detergent
Have unexplained itching in an uncomfortable place? Even if you don’t consider yourself to have sensitive skin, your vaginal area may disagree. “Another common irritation is a form of contact dermatitis,” says Dr. Moore. “The No. 1 cause of that is your laundry detergent. The tissues that your panties come in to contact with are a lot more sensitive than your elbows.”

She also identifies dryer sheets as irritation culprits. “Many brands have a very high concentration of perfumes in them,” she continues. “I don’t know why we need our vaginas to smell like a garden, but I recommend that women use hypoallergenic cleaning products as much as possible.” Dr. Dardik concurs, the milder the better.

The good news
While you can make mistakes with the undergarments you choose to wear, infection typically isn’t a big concern for women over 50. “The good news about menopause is that your pH changes, making you less likely to get yeast infections and bacterial infections,” says Dr. Dardik.

Smart underwear habits mostly boil down to personal preference, how easily your skin gets irritated, and your propensity for infection. “With all of these questions, it’s not like we have a wealth of double blind placebo trials to rely on,” says Dr. Moore. “It’s mostly conventional wisdom with a little medical thoughtfulness. Vaginal health depends on a lot of factors.”

"I vividly remember listening to @Donjazzy's beats with some of my friends and be like 'Jazzy's surely one of the Greatest producers that Africa has produced.' I also remember buying @asa_music album when it came out - probably the first music CD I ever bought with my money. Listening to her message and her voice thinking to myself 'I'ld love to work with someone as Great'

Now having both ASA and Donjazzy on the same soooong  makes me feel like I'm on the right path to be becoming #SomebodyGreat someday by God's grace. Amen"
