Can you imagine!
Martin O’Halloran, a dying man who served 28 years for a murder he says he didn’t commit has passed a lie detector test in a last ditch plea for justice. He was jailed in 1975 for killing a hairdresser named Thomas Walker and has always denied any involvement in the attack.
Well, now with just months to live after a heart attack and two strokes, Halloran, 66, who was freed in 2003 passed the lie-detector test and is determined to clear his name before he dies.
After passing the polygraph test Halloran said: “I can go to my grave saying I’m an innocent man. I know I’ve told the truth all these years. Knowing there’s some proof that I’m innocent makes me feel incredible. In prison my heart died, no one believed me and it was so hard. I went through hell but now people might believe I’m innocent."
TILB Readers, can you imagine the life this man wasted. Living all of those years innocently and being doubted simply because there was no technology at the time to prove his innocence.
He even got married and jail, and stayed there till they were both old.
Such a wasted life. At least, he was found innocent in his last days.
TILB Readers, what do you think?
