In this case, it was a man who laid his life down for his daughter.

Daily Mail reports that Justin McCary, 31, was looking for rocks along the train tracks with his daughter Haley and niece on Thursday when the three of them heard a train speeding towards them.

McCary's niece was able to get away in time but when his 10-year-old daughter's foot became trapped in one of the tracks, McCary rushed to save her.

He was able to free his daughter by pushing her over the bridge. She was saved when she fell 15ft into the water below, but sadly he was hit by the train and killed.

Now let us be brutally honest here; if we look deep down inside us, will we be able to the same? Many parents will, without even thinking twice, but I also personally know some who won't.
