YOU, A RIB-WOMAN?

"And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof.

And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man." Genesis 2:21-22.

I wonder why animals were created in pairs (male and female) and Adam alone was created. And after much consideration God decided to create a companion for him from a rib taken out from him. So then the story goes that the human female came out of a bone while a man was made directly from the ground in God's image. Interesting. So women are "transformed ribs".


If you are a female and reading this I know the last line in the paragraph above most likely made you feel insulted. If you felt that way you are a real woman with strong mentality. You know your worth. Don't accept any gobbledygook of a story telling you you are a product of a donated rib. Imagine you with all your feminine qualities and glory, but all the same are just a fleshed rib.

If for religious reasons you choose to accept that you were created from a bone, well it is your choice but also know that the lioness, the tigress, the "shippopo", the she-goat, the female mosquito and all other the female animals even the tiny creeping insects which you can push away or crush with a single thrust of a finger, as low as you regard them, were not created from a curved bone. Their raw material is the creative word of God. How come you of all things on earth will then be said to be a re-created rib? In all honesty, it is not fair at all. Heaven knows how upset I am right now. I am even crying for you because I know how much it would definitely hurt my pride and dignity if a bearded Jew who hears from God tells me I came out of a bone yanked off from the body of a mortal like myself.

Please, reject that despicable "rib" story. It is the work of a chauvinistic mind. You are self-originated, a stand-alone human, self-contained, not a walking bone fragment seeking to reunite with the parent entity, the man.
